REQUA
Regional climate – air QUAlity interactions
This research is supported by a Marie Curie International Research Staff Exchange Scheme Fellowship within the 7th European Community Framework Programme.
The project is highly relevant with the European Commission Green Paper “Adapting to climate change in Europe – options for EU action” and White Paper “Adapting to climate change: Towards a European framework for action” issued on 2007 and 2009 respectively, and more specifically to the priority lines of:
- Integrating global adaptation needs into the EU’s external relations and building a new alliance with partners around the world and
- filling knowledge gaps on adaptation through EU-level research and exchange of information. The objectives of the REQUA project contribute to “creating co-benefits with the climate change policy” which is one of the “Way Forward” directions of the European air quality policy as described in the paper “Implementation of EU Air Quality Policy and preparing for its comprehensive review” issued by European Commission on 2011.
